IT”S FEBRUARY!
Happy Wednesday and Happy February Everybody! I hope the week has been great to you so far. Have you had a chance to try a Green Smoothie? If not it isn’t too late. I have put together a first day of the month recipe for you, and I know you’re gonna love it! How is the “sweating” project going? Had a chance to put together your vision board yet? Still composting? We have had the chance to talk about so many exciting things in the past few weeks, and while I know it can be daunting deciding to start so many new things, It can sometimes be easier to choose just one to give a try, and work your way up from there. Go over some of our musings, see which one excites you the most, and PUT IT INTO ACTION! As always I am here if you have any questions or want to share your thoughts. I hope the coming month brings you an abundance of joy and inspiration. I can’t wait to hear about it.

ALONE IN THE PARK

Happy Tuesday to you! I hope you’re doing great so far this week and have had time to sweat or whip up a green smoothie for yourself. I decided to take a walk to the park and spend some time clearing my mind and letting go of some emotional leftovers I no longer have space for. I’ve long been wanting to meditate, and for me this park bench, with the cool breeze in my ear, is the closest thing I know to it. It is so important for us all to take a little time to stop and breathe! Perhaps you are an expert on medititation, as some of my friends are, but if not it is this simple… Find a spot to stop and sit or lay, close your eyes, and breathe. In and out…. In and out…… In and out. Just try to focus on the breathe and nothing else. Feel it fill your lungs, and feel it empty out of you. With each exhale you will feel weight being lifted, and with each inhale you will feel hope, inspiration, and love come in. Take a few minutes today and try it!! If all of us do it, imagine the shift in energy we can create, TOGETHER. All of us.

LET’S GET PHYSICAL!!

Happy Sunday Everybody! I hope you’ve had a chance to throw together your Vision Board by now and are ready for a fantastic week. So, today’s inspiration comes from the one and only Olivia Newton John and her kick ass PHYSICAL video. How can you watch this and not want to sweat? I have decided the time is right to get myself moving and my body sweating. I am hoping you can commit sometime this week to join me. I will begin the workout program INSANITY tomorrow. I have done it once before and it is INCREDIBLE. I realize not all of you will be ready to take on such an intense challenge, however, I KNOW that we can all push ourselves physically in someway. Maybe for you it is simply getting out of the house for 30minutes and taking a walk around the neighborhood, while jamming out to your favorite playlist on your iPod. Or dusting off that jump rope for a 15 minute workout in your living room while watching The View or American Idol. Whatever works for you, DO IT!! Lets commit to sweating some this week, and by doing so pump out some new inspiration for ourselves. I know it can be difficult, trust me I do, but our bodies want to work, they crave it! And when we give our bodies what it wants we are given so much power, enlightenment, clarity, and energy. Lets do it and see what presents itself to us.

VISION BOARD WEEKEND

Happy Saturday Everyone! The past couple of days have been very interesting. While trying to catch my body up to my mind, I realized something. My vision for myself has become a little blurry. What to do next? What to share now? Where to go from here? Then I realized something. My Vision Board isn’t updated. I made my current vision board months ago, and to my surprise almost everything I put on it, I GOT! Sound to good to be true? Why don’t you try making one for yourself and see what happens? Fill it with things you want right now, or in the near future, and BE SPECIFIC. New job? More money? New inspiration? Somewhere you wanna go? A pair of jeans you’ve had your eye on? A skill you want to acquire? ANYTHING YOU WANT! Take some time this weekend, give this gift to yourself, hang it somewhere you will see it a lot, and get ready to receive! I can’t wait to hear what you think.

HUMP-DAY HELPER

Happy Wednesday Everybody! Today I am in Lakewood, NJ helping Dylan’s mom Debbie (who’s take on gluten free living I am looking forward to sharing with you in the coming month) move into her new home. While carrying boxes, mirrors, furniture, and pillows into the new place I felt a rush of contentment and happiness come over me. The power of being of service! I had to share the experience with you this morning, and ask a question…. When was the last time we were of service to another person? This could be anything from taking some time to help a friend with a project they may not be able to do alone, to something as simple as letting the lady with two screaming kids in line at the grocery store cut ahead of us. Imagine how these small contributions of our time and patience can change a person’s day. Their experience of the world at that moment is TRANSFORMED! Imagine if all of us were of service at some point today, no matter how small the contribution, how huge an impact we can have on the world around us. Can you try it today? I’d love to hear about it.

I wanted to hit the ground running and post some life-changing mantra, or the key to unlock all of your problems, but after staring at a blank screen for five minutes I realized pushing too hard is the opposite of my intention.

Practice patience today. With yourself, with others. If the solution is not coming, take a break, a breath, a blink. Become aware of yourself pushing too hard and then relax into a solution. 

ahhh, Mondays.
